The Indian River CSD students and community are uniting to find out what 1 million really means. How much would one million pennies weigh? How much space would it take up? How much money is it? What is a penny made out of? Whose face is on the penny?
This project will enhance the learning opportunities we provide our K-12 students within all academic disciplines. The pennies will be collected in each of the buildings as well as in the community, thanks to the support of our local businesses. They will be added to the large, see-through, student built container that is located in the High School lobby. Once the pennies have been collected and displayed, all the money will be
donated to the Jefferson County SPCA!
